Progesterone is the main representative of the progestogens

Progesterone is produced in the adrenal glands in both men and women as a precursor to other steroid hormones and in the brain. In men small amounts are produced in the testes and in women large amounts are produced almost exclusively in the corpus luteum and during pregnancy in the placenta. Therefore progesterone is found in higher concentrations in women only after ovulation (second half of the cycle). Progesterone is the most important antagonist to oestradiol.

You place your sample in a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and, after 5-7 days, you will receive a report with the assessment of your profile.
