Laboratory chemical analysis to determine zinc and selenium concentrations in capillary blood
Zinc is a trace element and is vital (essential). As a component of enzymes, it is involved in many important processes within the body. Zinc also plays a significant role as an activator of important enzymes. For example, it is involved in fat metabolism. It also influences the production of thyroid and sex hormones, supports the normal function of the immune system and is considered an important antioxidant.
An adequate supply of zinc is therefore extremely important. However, taking it via dietary supplements should be done with care, as an overdose can have negative consequences for the absorption of other nutrients. It is therefore very advisable to assess your current status.
Selenium is also a trace element and a component of numerous enzymes. Selenium plays a particularly important role in thyroid metabolism and in sperm production. Selenium helps to protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and nails. The problem with ensuring an adequate supply of selenium in Europe is that the soil is low in selenium. As selenium is otherwise mainly obtained from animal-based foods, a selenium supplement may also be advisable for vegetarians or vegans.
Whether and how much of these two trace elements should be taken can be determined by assessing current levels. The Selenium + Zinc Blood Test does this by measuring the concentration of the trace elements in capillary blood.

Reaching your goal better with sensible diagnostics!
Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many others have extensive medical knowledge, but many also buy "on suspicion" without really knowing exactly what they need. For these customers, it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs and possible deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist to clarify what would be the best product for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after receiving their test result. And we are happy to put them in touch with the expert therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer, we are only allowed to provide limited information, even though we are qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy, which is why doctors, for example, are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
