Determination of the Firmicutes-Bacteroidetes ratio
The Firmicutes-Bacteroidetes ratio is a measure of the balance between the Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes bacterial groups in the human gut. These two groups are the main components of the gut microbiome, which plays a crucial role in digestion and metabolism. Determining the Firmicutes-Bacteroidetes ratio is now regarded as the basis for changes in dietary habits. Although the test eliminates the need to visit a doctor, the results should be discussed with a doctor if they are to form the basis of a personalised treatment plan.

How does the ordering process work?
Once you have placed your order, the test pack you have chosen will be sent to you along with detailed instructions. You place your sample in the sample container, send it in the provided envelope to Mediveres’ partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH, and will receive your results, including an assessment of your profile, within 5–7 days.

Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy, which is why doctors, for example, are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
