Vitamin D test

Only for Germany and Austria

  • We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
  • Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
  • Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.
  • You can find more information about this from the manufacturer!

Laboratory chemical analysis to determine vitamin D status

Vitamin D is important for bones, muscles and the immune system. The fat‑soluble vitamin plays a role in numerous metabolic processes, such as the regulation of calcium levels and the mineralisation of teeth and bones. It also contributes to nerve conduction and supports the muscles as well as the immune system.

Only with sufficient exposure to sunlight can the body produce enough vitamin D through photochemical synthesis. Depending on the season and time of day, 5 to 25 minutes of sunlight per day are necessary to achieve this. In autumn and winter the duration and intensity of sunlight decrease. Almost 60 percent of the population in Germany do not reach the target vitamin D concentration necessary to benefit from its protective effect.

In the EsKiMo study of the Robert Koch Institute and Paderborn University the nutrient intake of children was examined. In the group of 6–11 year‑olds, 100% of participants were below the daily nutrient intake recommended by the German Nutrition Society. Studies in adults also show a deficiency in vitamin D – particularly in the winter months.

Indications:

  • Osteoporosis
  • Joint pain
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Weakened immune system
  • Concentration problems
  • ADHD/ADD
  • Nervousness
  • Depressive mood
  • Tiredness / exhaustion
  • Skin problems
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Disorders of balance and coordination
  • Overweight

A test can give you certainty as to whether you are sufficiently supplied with vitamin D. The results form the basis for tailored advice from your nutritionist, doctor or alternative practitioner. Self‑treatment by taking vitamin D on your own responsibility should only be undertaken if your own medical or naturopathic knowledge is very good and there are no other complicating conditions or laboratory results.

The test kit includes:

  • 1 sample collection guide
  • 2 lancets
  • 1 sample tube
  • 2 alcohol swabs
  • 1 fingertip plaster
  • 1 sample submission form
  • 1 postage envelope

How does the ordering process work?

After you place your order, the requested test kit will be sent to you together with detailed instructions. You put your sample into a sample container, send it in the prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and, after 5–7 days, you will receive a report with an assessment of your profile.

Achieve better results with sensible diagnostics!

Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. For these customers it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs or any deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist, during which it is clarified which product would be best for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after they have received their test result. We are also happy to put them in touch with suitably qualified therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
