What does ‘WholeFood’ mean?

The vital nutrients in Natur Vital BoneAssist are of plant or organic origin. The plants encapsulate the minerals in an organic package that our metabolism can break down. This is why the vital nutrients can reach where they are needed, namely in our cells. Vitamins and minerals of plant and organic origin are also better tolerated.

Modern formula with vitamin K

The formulation is based on the latest findings regarding bone health. Ten years ago, nutritionists and doctors would have recommended a great deal of calcium and some vitamin D for bone health.
One consequence of this was, for example, a risk to the blood vessels, because a very high intake of calcium combined with little vitamin D – and, above all, without vitamin K – tends to be deposited in the blood vessels, thus leading to calcification.
Today, the advice is to consume more vitamin D than before, along with vitamin K2 for vascular protection, but not too much calcium.
Nevertheless, you should ensure you have a calcium-rich diet, including cheese or, for vegans, for example, sesame (in tahini) or broccoli. As the calcium content in Bone Assist is rather conservatively dosed, this would certainly be helpful as a supplement.

Boron – The little-known mineral

There are various opinions, studies and views on boron. As is unfortunately often the case in science – an everyday reality for scientists, but confusing for the general public: there are just as many studies, opinions and researchers who demonstrate the benefits of boron and assume it is essential to life, as there are those who claim the opposite.

Those who are not will find plenty of other bone-supporting products in our shop that do not contain boron.
