Borage oil with valuable fatty acids
Borage oil is regarded as a valuable and, above all, natural source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. This is primarily due to the gamma-linolenic acid it contains. Taking borage oil is particularly beneficial, as the body cannot produce unsaturated fatty acids itself, yet requires them as essential nutrients.
Better than evening primrose oil
Borage oil has a wide range of benefits for the body. It is used for similar purposes to evening primrose oil, but due to its particularly high content of unsaturated fatty acids, it offers even greater benefits than evening primrose oil.
That is why Natur Vital has now replaced its evening primrose oil capsules with borage oil capsules.
Production of borage oil in vegan capsules, free from gelatine
Borage oil is extracted from the plant of the same name, Borago officinalis (borage), using cold pressing. The new Natur Vital borage oil is now also suitable for vegans, as it is no longer processed in the gelatine capsules that were previously standard for such products!
Nutritional properties
- Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels
- ALA helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels (the beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g of ALA).
