Bromelain from pineapple – 100% vegan and natural
Bromelain refers to active protein-digesting enzymes extracted from pineapples. Among indigenous peoples, pineapples were used primarily to aid digestion. This product contains no animal-derived ingredients whatsoever and draws 100% on the power of nature. It is therefore also ideally suited to vegans.
Incidentally, the highest bromelain content is found in the pineapple core, which is usually thrown away. So it’s worth eating this too, provided you like pineapple! As enzymes are heat-sensitive, naturally only fresh fruit should be used – not tinned pineapple.
The timing of intake makes all the difference.
If you take the tablets with a meal, e.g. with a heavy
lunch, the enzymes aid digestion. In the process, they are
used up and excreted, and do not enter the bloodstream.
If taken some time before or after a meal, they can
continue to exert their beneficial effects in the body.
