Highly concentrated omega-3 fatty acids from marine fish with DHA/EPA
Each capsule contains more than 550 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA). NATUR VITAL fish oil is obtained exclusively from marine fish (sardines and anchovies) caught in the cold, oxygen-rich waters of the South Pacific off New Zealand. To avoid contamination with environmental toxins and heavy metals, the livers of the fish are not processed.
Omega-3 fatty acids contribute to our health with the following scientifically substantiated health claims:
- DHA helps to maintain normal brain function.
- DHA helps to maintain normal vision. A daily intake of at least 250 mg of DHA has been shown to provide this beneficial effect.
- EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function. A daily intake of at least 250 mg of EPA and DHA has been shown to provide this beneficial effect.
- DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.
- A daily intake of 3 g of EPA and DHA has been shown to provide this beneficial effect.
- DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels. This beneficial effect occurs with a daily intake of at least 2 g of EPA and DHA.

Ingredients
Fish oil concentrate, bovine gelatin (capsule shell), glycerin (humectant), alpha-, gamma- and delta-tocopherols (antioxidants).
Recommended intake
1–2 capsules daily. Fish oil is best tolerated when the capsules are swallowed whole with meals.
Note
It is important that the combined daily intake of EPA and DHA does not exceed 5 g. So far studies have only demonstrated beneficial effects of fish oils; however, higher amounts would be excessive and could have adverse health effects.
