Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA
Microalgae are the original source of the two important omega-3 fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
Cold-water fish feed on the algae and therefore contain a considerable amount of these essential fatty acids. The DGE (German Nutrition Society) recommends two fish meals per week.
Natur Vital Omega-3 PrOtect contains microalgae oil as a source of the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. It additionally contains the vitaminoid coenzyme Q10 and astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant. Rosemary, oregano and grape seed oils are also included.
Replacing saturated fats with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
