Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA
Microalgae are the original source of the two important omega-3 fatty acids, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
Cold-water fish feed on these algae and therefore contain a significant amount of these essential fatty acids. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends two fish meals a week.
Natur Vital Omega-3 PrOtect contains microalgae oil as a source of the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. It also contains the vitaminoid coenzyme Q10 and astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant. It also contains rosemary, oregano and grape seed oils.
Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
