Support during challenging times: Multivitamins in child-friendly doses
Children have specific needs, including when it comes to their intake of
vitamins and minerals. On the one hand, children need
smaller amounts of certain nutrients to maintain their
health, as they are considerably smaller. However, children need
vitamins and, above all, minerals, however, children need
significantly more because they are growing – for example, building blocks such as
calcium.
A wholesome, balanced diet is actually entirely sufficient for the health of our
children; an additional intake of
vitamins and minerals should not really be
necessary for children.
Unfortunately, however, our children’s diets do not always
follow the textbook guidelines for a wholesome diet. There are also children
with special needs.
Reasons for giving children additional vitamins could
include:
- Not enough time to prepare everything fresh for the child, e.g. for parents with very demanding jobs or single parents.
- Children who eat only a very limited range of foods and refuse to eat fresh fruit and vegetables
- For children who are noticeably often ill, e.g. due to colds, ear infections, etc., giving additional vitamins to strengthen the immune system would be worth a try.
- To prepare children for periods of high stress (an upcoming skiing holiday, school trip, camping holiday, etc.). Studies have shown, for example, that taking vitamin C as a preventative measure some time before such a stressful event reduces the risk of catching a cold.
Special nutritional requirements for children
The following nutritional value table is required by law. It is
unfortunately one of the absurdities of EU law that we are not
permitted to provide the nutritional value table for children here. This table, containing
NRV values applicable to adults, is mandatory!
Via this link
you can look up the requirements for children of various
age groups!

High-quality formulations from the Netherlands
Podo medi's products are significantly influenced by the naturopathic experience of its co-founder Wolfgang P. Schallmey. However, he has been retired since 2020, which is why the "Woscha" brand has become the "natura felix" brand. The tried-and-tested recipes will remain largely the same. In addition to the logo, the packaging of many products will change significantly. The company is increasingly switching from plastic to more environmentally friendly cardboard cans.
