NATURA FELIX GR21-synergy is a particularly high-quality product, as it relies on pure and potent bacterial cultures. It contains exclusively freeze-dried lactic acid bacteria, which are listed in the German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures (DSMZ). External, certified laboratories regularly check the purity and concentration of the bacterial strains. Regular quality controls and ongoing testing ensure this. The individual strains were selected with the utmost care in order to obtain the widest possible variety of health-promoting properties.

Live lactic acid bacteria must reach their destination quickly, otherwise they will die. The bacterial cultures in GR21 can be stored for at least 18 months thanks to a gentle freeze-drying process. Even these freeze-dried bacteria are ‘alive’. They have simply been put into a kind of ‘hibernation’.

GR21 also contains the natural dietary fibre inulin (fructooligosaccharides, or FOS for short), which is a food source for the bifidobacteria in the large intestine. This sugar-free organic raw material derived from agave acts as a natural dietary fibre.

Podomedi recommends taking the product over a period of six weeks, gradually and steadily increasing the dose. In the first week, dissolve 1 spoonful of powder in a glass of lukewarm milk (or water). In the second week: two tablespoons per glass. In the third week and onwards, 3 spoonfuls per glass.

What exactly are lactic acid bacteria?

Lactic acid bacteria are an astonishing natural phenomenon. They are among the few organisms that can tolerate little or no oxygen at all. In order to survive, they have developed fermentation as their own method of energy production. This involves the conversion of sugar and other energy sources into lactic acid. The resulting acidic environment inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria.

The following types of lactic acid bacteria exist:

• Lactobacilli are oxygen-tolerant and require a variety of nutrients (such as sugar, carbohydrates and proteins) for their growth and development.  Some species are even capable of producing vitamins. Some members of the genera Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Lactococcus and Pediococcus also belong to the lactobacilli.

Recommended intake
