The krill of the species Euphausia superba comes from the pristine waters of the Antarctic. The company has developed a special harvesting method called "Eco-HarvestingTM" to minimise environmental impact during fishing. In this process the krill is brought on board alive through a suction pipe without other marine animals.

What advantages does krill oil offer compared with fish oil?

Unlike fish oil, the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA from krill oil are bound to phospholipids. This has several advantages:

• We can absorb krill oil much faster than fish oil, because phospholipids, unlike triglycerides, are water-soluble. This means the body can utilise it better because no conversion by enzymes or bile acids is necessary.

The recommended amounts are:
