Propolis is also known as bee glue
Bees use it to build their hive. As the name suggests, propolis mainly contains tree resin. In addition, wax and pollen are present, which form a sticky mass. This is used to seal cracks and to create a kind of lining in passages and at the entrance area.
Because of its unique composition, propolis has also been used by humans for decades. It is particularly valuable because of the flavones, essential oils, enzymes, amino acids, minerals and trace elements it contains.
