Magnesium is involved in over 300 important metabolic processes in the body. That alone demonstrates its importance for our well‑being.
In this preparation, magnesium is bound to the salt of malic acid, which occurs in apples and other fruits. Because magnesium and malic acid support the formation of the energy carrier ATP in the citric acid cycle, magnesium malate is particularly suitable.
From magnesium and malic acid: Particularly well absorbed as a pure salt
Magnesium malate is absorbed and metabolised more quickly than other magnesium compounds such as magnesium oxide or magnesium citrate, because malates (compounds with malic acid) can be easily broken down by our body. This primarily benefits the muscles, but also the nerves and the psyche.
At the same time, our body can utilise the malic acid better because its effect is enhanced by magnesium.
