Magnesium is involved in over 300 important metabolic processes in the body. That alone demonstrates its importance for our wellbeing.
In this supplement, magnesium is bound to the salt of malic acid, which is found in apples and other types of fruit. As magnesium and malic acid support the production of the energy carrier ATP in the citric acid cycle, magnesium malate is particularly well suited.

Magnesium malate is absorbed and metabolised more quickly than other magnesium compounds such as magnesium oxide or magnesium citrate, because malates (compounds containing malic acid) can be easily broken down by our bodies. At the same time, our body can utilise malic acid more effectively because its effects are enhanced by magnesium.
