NATURA FELIX Beta Carotin Plus: The four best carotenoids to support normal vision and skin

Carotenoids, which are classified as secondary plant compounds, give plant parts and fruits such as tomatoes, carrots and aubergines their red to yellow colouring. Many dark vegetables are also rich in carotenoids, in particular our native kale.
Beta-carotene (provitamin A) represents a valuable source of vitamin A. This vitamin plays an important role for our skin and eyes. The other carotenoids can be detected in the retina of the eye, with lutein and zeaxanthin being particularly highly concentrated at the macula (the area of sharpest vision).

NATURA FELIX Beta Carotin Plus: highly effective carotenoids with excellent bioavailability

The NATURA FELIX beta-carotene capsules contain carotenoids that are extracted from plants in high concentration. This includes an algal concentrate from Dunaliella salina (with a beta-carotene content of 20%), a tomato extract (lycopene) as well as a Tagetes (marigold) extract (zeaxanthin, lutein). These natural carotenoids are far more effective compared with synthetic carotenoid compounds because they complement and reinforce each other.
The bioavailability of the carotenoids is increased by up to 60% by piperine from black pepper extract. The addition of vitamin E (VegeTocTM from rice oil) with its antioxidant properties supports the fight against free radicals. All cells in our body benefit from this, particularly the skin, eyes and blood vessels.
The beta-carotene preparation is sugar-free and suitable for vegans. It contains salicylic acid (derived from tomato). Natural antioxidants such as rosemary extract and vitamin C palmitate ensure that the valuable ingredients remain fresh and of high quality.

Carotenoids for maintaining normal vision

The main source of vitamin A in our body is beta-carotene (provitamin A). Vitamin A helps to maintain normal vision, supports visual acuity and helps to maintain the normal moisture balance of the eyes. Furthermore, it helps to maintain normal skin and is relevant for the cellular differentiation of epithelial cells.

Recommended intake

1-2 EMBO-CAPS® daily, preferably with meals. To improve skin protection against UV exposure: 2 EMBO-CAPS® daily for a period of 3-4 weeks before sun exposure.

Manufacturer's notes

Not suitable for children under 3 years. Contains salicylic acid (tomato). In smokers, beta-carotene may possibly have a negative effect. The available studies are unclear. Smokers are therefore advised not to consume more than 20 mg beta-carotene per day. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not exceed a daily intake of 9 mg beta-carotene.
