Off the coast of Okinawa lies a limestone and coral reef area from which fossilised Sango corals are extracted. What makes Sango coral powder special?

A balanced ratio of calcium and magnesium:

Wide range of minerals

Origin and extraction:

• Fossilised, long-dead coral deposits off the coast of Okinawa are used; living reefs remain untouched.
• Only raw materials with a laboratory-confirmed, elevated magnesium content are used in production.
• Extraction takes place in controlled zones at least 1 km off the coast and at depths of around 15 m or more.
• To ensure microbiological quality, the material is sterilised and dried at approximately 180–200 °C.

Minerals from the island’s water

Rainwater seeps into the limestone and coral structures, absorbing ionised minerals such as calcium, magnesium and trace elements in the process. This naturally mineralised spring water is traditionally used in Okinawa and is associated with well-being.

Recommended intake

3 x 1 measuring spoon (1 g each) spread throughout the day (1 g corresponds to approx. 1/3 teaspoon), ideally held in the mouth for 1 minute to allow the saliva to mix with it, followed by 1 glass of water, juice or tea, or stirred into smoothies, drinks or muesli, etc.

If you have low stomach acid (a common symptom is heartburn), take it 1 hour before or after meals.

Tip: Combining it with organic acids, e.g. from fermented products or drinks, aids absorption in the intestines.
