The German Nutrition Society recommends an intake of 30 g of dietary fibre per day. However, according to the WHO (World Health Organization), many people in industrialised countries do not reach the required fibre intake.
Dietary fibre is very important for our wellbeing. It is well known that it stimulates digestion and thereby promotes bowel movements. But there are further effects. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has concluded that fibre can slow the absorption of carbohydrates (e.g. sugars) into the blood and thus help regulate blood glucose levels. It also prolongs the feeling of satiety, which supports weight management. In addition, fibre has a positive influence on serum cholesterol levels.
Fibre also offers other benefits: apple fibre contains secondary plant compounds such as flavonoids, which belong to the polyphenols. Potato extract contains antioxidants. Guar gum enhances the binding capacity of other fibres. Gum arabic is highly water-soluble and has a thickening effect on liquids.
Fibre is found mainly in cereal-based foods. Many people cannot tolerate these due to gluten sensitivity or gluten intolerance. For them, Fasa Sana is the gentle alternative. Targeted use of fibre is also recommended during detox programmes to bind toxins already in the intestine.

Recommended intake
Dissolve one level measuring scoop (6 g) in a glass of water or juice once daily and drink promptly before a meal.
