Vitamin D3, the ‘sunshine vitamin’, and vitamin K2 (menaquinone) work together perfectly
Vitamins D3 and K2 work together as a team, as they have a synergistic effect. They must be present in sufficient quantities to achieve the best possible results, particularly in bone metabolism. Their interaction with calcium is also important, which is why this combination product is ideal as a supplement to a calcium regimen. Vitamin D promotes the storage of calcium in the bones, whilst vitamin K prevents it from being deposited in the arteries before it reaches the bones. St. Helia SuperVitamin D3 contains other valuable substances. Vitamin D3 is fat-soluble and is therefore formulated in a vegetable oil base to ensure optimal absorption. The natural essential oils from aromatic herbs support the rapid absorption of vitamin D3. The palm kernel oil contained in the product provides the full range of vitamin E, including tocotrienols. Sea buckthorn pulp oil also supplies you with high-quality carotenoids. Sea buckthorn pulp oil contains around 20 times more carotenoids than sea buckthorn oil and is considered one of the most valuable oils. Unlike conventional products, which often contain only the single substance beta-carotene, St. Helia guarantees natural diversity.
St. Helia Supervitamin K2 with bioactive menaquinone (MK 7)
St. Helia’s Vitamin K2 is vegan and has very high bioavailability. The menaquinone MK 7 it contains is a form of vitamin K2 that is particularly well absorbed by the body. This effect is further enhanced by the combination with vitamin A.
- 100% active, bioavailable vitamin K2 (MK 7)
- Also contains vitamin A in the form of carotene and vitamin E from tocopherols and tocotrienols.
- Just 3 drops a day, so a 3–4-month supply.
Trans isomers – why are they important? There are even differences in quality within menaquinone MK 7 itself. The question is whether MK containing cis-trans isomers or all-trans isomers was used as an ingredient. These isomers are molecules that differ significantly in their double bonds – and thus in their biological activity.
- All-trans isomers can activate the proteins osteocalcin and MGP as co-factors.
- Cis-trans isomers are biologically inactive. They cannot be utilised by the body.
St. Helia Supervitamin K2 contains exclusively pure – biologically active – menaquinone MK 7 in the high-quality all-trans form. Guaranteed vegan production, free from animal-derived ingredients. Both products are produced entirely vegan, without the use of animal-derived substances, and are guaranteed GMO-free.

Note from EnergyVital or Recommended intake
We are simply reproducing the manufacturer’s recommended intake here, as it is printed on the product in accordance with the law. We are required to reproduce this verbatim in the shop, regardless of whether it makes technical sense or not.
This does not, therefore, mean that you generally need to take vitamins D and K in a 1:3 ratio when taking them together!
Several factors would be important in determining your own individual dosage. For example, your therapist’s recommendation or the extent of any deficiency. Your GP can also determine this with a test. If your GP refuses to do this – either for cost reasons or simply because they know nothing about the subject (which is often disguised with the argument that it’s ‘unnecessary’…) – you can also help yourself by using Medivere’s tests.
You should also bear in mind any other medication you are taking. Anyone who needs to take anticoagulants, such as coumarins or apixaban (e.g. Eliquis®), should definitely discuss taking vitamin K with their doctor, as vitamin K affects the way these medicines work!
The dosages of our products, which combine vitamin D3 and K2 in a single bottle or capsule, may prove helpful. The manufacturers have, of course, put a lot of thought into this, especially as we only stock products from manufacturers with a very high level of specialist expertise. We generally do not stock brands where the senior management team consists solely of business graduates rather than naturopaths and nutritional therapists!
For example, Natur Vital, a company with a very high level of therapeutic expertise, specifies a dosage of 25 µ D and K respectively in its combination product: Vitamin ADEK Oil, 30 ml. Applied to this product, this would mean that a dose of one drop each of St. Helia Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 is recommended !
Podomedi, another manufacturer headed by a naturopath, recommends a ratio of vitamin D to K of 1 : 2.

What is the weight or volume of a drop?
For oils and aqueous solutions in dropper bottles or those with pipettes, drops are a popular and practical way of measuring quantities. Unfortunately, however, they are in fact very imprecise.
For anyone who wants – or needs – to know the exact figure for dosing and planning their medication or dietary supplements:
One drop of water is approximately 0.05 ml or 0.05 g, or 50 mg.
Oil has a different density and drips differently to water. Therefore:
One drop of oil is approximately 0.04 ml or 0.35 g, or 35 mg.

35 mg.
