The tocotrienol comes from Malaysia, where it is extracted in collaboration with the university to support smallholders. The palm kernel oil comes from oil palms that grow mainly in the wild, but also on smallholders’ fields. This involves neither the clearing of virgin forests nor the taking of land away from smallholders that is used for growing food. On the contrary, it increases their income.
