Extract of the shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes)
AHCC® is a product of the reputable company Amino Up Co. from Japan, which has been produced since 1989 using a fermentation process that has been continually refined over the years. It is assumed that the same starter culture is used in every production run. This ensures a consistent composition and high quality of the final product. A patented process ensures a high alpha-glucan content. These are polysaccharides that naturally occur only in small amounts in shiitake mushrooms. The fermentation takes approximately forty days. The shiitake is cultivated on a specially developed liquid medium made from rice bran. During the fermentation process the shiitake transforms components of the medium into other nutrients. This leads to the unique composition of AHCC®, which cannot be compared with conventionally dried shiitake mushrooms. After a period of forty days the insoluble cellular components are separated by centrifugation. This produces a liquid (“supernatant”) that has a high content of alpha-glucans and other nutrients. After spray-drying, AHCC® powder is ultimately obtained, which can be filled into capsules. The manufacturing process ensures that the delicate natural components of the extract are preserved.

Shiitake mushroom extract (Lentinula edodes), turnip oil (Brassica rapa), plant capsule (pullulan, from fermented cassava starch), dextrin, bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose [cellulose gel]), alpha-cyclodextrin.
Recommended use
Take 1 capsule with water twice a day with a meal. If a greater requirement exists, take 3 capsules twice a day.
