Formula for balancing blood lipid levels
Blood lipids are fats that are transported in the blood to their target tissues. They are composed mainly of cholesterol and triglycerides. The word “cholesterol” derives from the Greek cholè (“bile”) and stereos (“solid”). Cholesterol is an essential component of bile and plays a crucial role in the formation of cell membranes, various hormones and vitamin D. Triglycerides are involved in cellular energy production and form a protective fat layer around the organs. The blood levels of all these lipids are strictly controlled to ensure they are not too high or too low.
People often speak of “good” and “bad” cholesterol. However, this does not refer to the cholesterol itself (as it only has one form), but to the transport particle (lipoprotein) in which the cholesterol is carried. Blood lipids are not soluble in blood, which is a watery fluid. A transport particle is therefore needed to carry these substances. The outer layer of a lipoprotein consists of a shell of water-soluble proteins (apolipoproteins) and phospholipids. The particle contains cholesterol and triglycerides. The best-known lipoproteins are high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. Lipid metabolism is a complex subject, but simply put, LDL cholesterol transports cholesterol from the liver to the body’s cells, while HDL cholesterol carries cholesterol from the body’s cells back to the liver. It is important for good health that the levels of the various blood lipids remain within the normal range. There are many options to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. A good lifestyle with sufficient exercise and a healthy, varied diet is crucial. A supplement can provide additional support.

We are constantly on the lookout for brands that represent our ideals: highest quality, the consistent omission of unnecessary additives such as titanium dioxide or porcine gelatin, excellent value for money and absolute reliability in delivery to us and thus to our customers.
This is very difficult because such companies are extremely rare among the mass of dietary supplement manufacturers now on the market. But we have once again managed to find one with Vitals from the Netherlands!
Address of the manufacturer: Vitals Voedingssupplementen BV, Pieter Lieftinckweg 29, 1505 HX Zaandam, Netherlands. E-mail: kundendienst@vitals.eu.
