High-dose selenium in liquid form
Versatile selenium – selenium occurs as a trace element in numerous enzymes and therefore has many functions in our body. It is, among other things, a component of antioxidant enzymes, contributes to a normally functioning immune system and to normal hair and nails. It is also particularly well known for its role in the thyroid. There it acts as a co‑factor in the conversion of the thyroid hormone T4 into the active T3 form. Selenium is essential for life but cannot be produced by the body itself. Therefore it must be supplied through the diet, making it advisable to pay particular attention to adequate intake.
Most of the selenium we get comes from plant foods, which in turn have taken it up from the soil. Unfortunately this is also where the problem lies: the selenium concentration of soils varies greatly regionally and beyond. Another source can be found in animal foods. However, this is understandably not an option for a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Vitals Selenium for direct effect
Vitals selenium is highly dosed and therefore particularly effective. The inorganic form (sodium selenate) provides a direct biological effect.
If you want to correct a general selenium deficiency, organic selenium yeast is particularly suitable. This works more indirectly and is better suited for refilling a long‑term depleted store.
Selenium from sodium selenite, on the other hand, is immediately available and acts more precisely and accurately, but should therefore be dosed more deliberately and specifically. Especially economical and provides long‑lasting support for selenium status.

Vitals, our new brand from 2025
We are constantly on the lookout for brands that represent our ideals: highest quality, the consistent omission of unnecessary additives such as titanium dioxide or porcine gelatin, excellent value for money and absolute reliability in delivery to us and thus to our customers.
This is very difficult because such companies are extremely rare among the mass of dietary supplement manufacturers now on the market. But we have once again managed to find one with Vitals from the Netherlands!
Address of the manufacturer: Vitals Voedingssupplementen BV, Pieter Lieftinckweg 29, 1505 HX Zaandam, Netherlands. E-mail: kundendienst@vitals.eu.

35 mg.
