High-dose selenium in liquid form

Selenium: a versatile nutrient – Selenium is a trace element found in numerous enzymes and therefore performs a wide range of functions in our body. Among other things, it is a component of antioxidant enzymes, helps maintain a normally functioning immune system, and supports healthy hair and nails. However, it is also particularly well known for its role in the thyroid gland. There, as a co-factor, it helps convert the thyroid hormone T4 into its active form, T3. Selenium is essential for life, but cannot be produced by the body itself. It must therefore be obtained from food, and it is advisable to pay particular attention to ensuring an adequate intake.

We obtain most of our selenium from plant-based foods, which in turn have absorbed it from the soil. Unfortunately, however, this is also where the problem lies. This is because selenium concentrations in the soil vary greatly, both regionally and across wider areas. Another source can be found in animal-based foods. However, this is understandably not an option for those following a vegetarian or vegan diet.

Vitals Selenium for immediate effect

Vitals Selenium is highly concentrated and therefore particularly effective. The inorganic form (sodium selenate) ensures a direct biological effect.
If you wish to address a general selenium deficiency, organic selenium yeast is particularly suitable. This has a more indirect effect and is better suited to replenishing reserves that have been depleted over the long term.
Selenium from sodium selenite, on the other hand, is immediately available and acts more precisely and effectively, but should therefore be dosed more carefully and specifically. It is particularly potent and provides long-lasting support for selenium levels.

Ingredients

Purified water, seawater concentrate (CMD), acidifier (citric acid), sodium selenate, preservative (potassium benzoate [<0.1 %]).

Recommended intake

Take 1 ml per day using the Opti-Dose dropper (1 pipette = 1 ml). Add the drops to (approx. 200 ml) of water, fruit juice or food. Shake before use.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the fridge).
