Pure L-Arginine in vegan capsules
Around 500 amino acids exist in nature. Of these, twenty amino acids serve as building blocks for proteins in the human body; they are called “basic amino acids”. These basic amino acids can be classified as “essential”, “semi-essential” and “non-essential”. L-Arginine is one of the semi-essential amino acids, which means the body can produce it partly by itself but partly relies on dietary intake to meet daily requirements. In adults, endogenous production of arginine occurs from the amino acids ornithine, glutamine, glutamate and proline; however, the amount of arginine obtained from food contributes significantly to the total arginine supply. As the body's own synthesis is not yet sufficient, arginine is an essential amino acid for children and adolescents.
L-Arginine is incorporated into proteins and can be converted into other amino acids such as ornithine and proline. In addition, arginine is the only substance from which the biochemical signalling molecule nitric oxide (NO) is produced. Arginine also serves as a precursor for creatine and polyamines.
This product uses the natural L-form, not the synthetic D-form.

Directions for use
As a dietary supplement for adults, take 1–2 capsules per day with water between meals (at least half an hour before or two hours after eating).

Store in a cool, dry place protected from light (do not store in the refrigerator).
