Chr. Hansen produces these bacterial strains and has carried out a significant proportion of the research into these specific strains, including their current combination. This is unique and is also of considerable importance! A bacterial strain (identified by a suffix such as LA-5) is not, in fact, identical to another, even if they belong to the same genus (in this case Lactobacillus) and species (Lactobacillus acidophilus). That is why strain-specific research is of particular importance.

Safety and ease of use

The standards required of a probiotic intended for infants and young children are extremely high. Here, safety and ease of administration are even more crucial than with products for adults. Clinical trials in humans were carried out specifically for Bifidobacterium BB-12 to demonstrate the safety of this strain in young children. It was found that BB-12 in a product for infants and toddlers is completely safe and is very well tolerated . Furthermore, taking the drops is extremely straightforward.

Quality and shelf life

Chr. Hansen’s advanced production process ensures that the capsules have a long shelf life outside the fridge in their sealed packaging. This is, of course, very practical in everyday use and for retail. Sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus), Bifidobacterium lactis, antioxidant (d-alpha-tocopherol).

Recommended intake

Shake well before each use (30 seconds)**. Place 6 drops onto a spoon or take mixed with (lukewarm) milk or other foods. Contains approximately 100 drops (sufficient for approx. 16 days’ use). The viable bacteria (Bifidobacterium lactis) in this product settle to the bottom. It is therefore essential to shake the powder well before each use (for 30 seconds) to mix it as thoroughly as possible with the oil . It may also happen that some of the powder remains in the pipette, preventing it from dispensing properly. Shaking for 30 seconds helps to redissolve the powder.

If you are taking an antibiotic, it is recommended that you wait at least 2 hours between taking Microbiol Kind and the antibiotic.

Storage instructions

Store sealed at room temperature (not in the fridge). Use within 4 weeks of opening.
