The role of potassium in the human body
Potassium is a mineral which, together with chloride and sodium,
helps to regulate blood pressure. Potassium has a positive
effect on blood pressure, as it is involved in various processes of
blood pressure regulation, such as vasodilation
(widening of the blood vessels) and the promotion of
sodium excretion in the urine. Furthermore,
potassium supports the proper transmission of nerve impulses and
muscle contraction. Finally, for optimal
neurotransmission, a normal potassium concentration
both inside and outside cells is important.
This product contains 200 mg of potassium in the organically bound and easily absorbable form of potassium citrate. Alongside sodium and chloride, potassium is one of the essential electrolytes in the body. Minerals in ionic form (i.e. not bound to other elements, but dissolved in a liquid as separate electrically charged particles) are referred to as electrolytes.

Ingredients
Potassium citrate, anti-caking agent (rice fibre), vegetable capsule (pullulan, derived from fermented cassava starch).
Recommended intake
Take 1–2 capsules a day with water, with a meal.
Caution
Do not take in combination with medicines that may increase potassium levels (e.g. potassium-sparing diuretics or certain blood pressure-lowering medicines).
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the fridge).
