The role of potassium in the human body
Potassium is a mineral that, together with chloride and sodium, contributes to blood pressure regulation. Potassium has a beneficial effect on blood pressure as it is involved in various processes of blood pressure regulation, such as vasodilation (widening of the blood vessels) and promoting sodium excretion in the urine. In addition, potassium supports proper conduction of nerve impulses and muscle contraction. For optimal neurotransmission, a normal potassium concentration intra- and extracellularly is important.
This product contains 200 mg of potassium in the organically bound and well‑absorbed form of potassium citrate. Potassium is, alongside sodium and chloride, one of the essential electrolytes in the body. Minerals in ionic form (i.e. not bound to other elements, but present as separate electrically charged particles dissolved in a liquid) are referred to as electrolytes.

Ingredients

Recommended intake
Take 1‑2 capsules per day with water at a meal.
Caution
Do not take in combination with medications that can increase potassium levels (e.g. potassium‑sparing diuretics or certain blood pressure medications).
