Kaneka Q10 – Top-quality ubiquinone
Q10, or coenzyme Q10, is a natural substance found in the mitochondria of all the body’s cells. This fat-soluble compound is called ubiquinone, which can be translated as ‘found everywhere’. The body obtains Q10 from two sources: its own production and food. In certain circumstances, the body’s own production of Q10 is insufficient to meet its needs, which is why diet plays a greater role. Q10 is therefore considered a (semi-)essential nutrient. After ingestion, Q10 is predominantly converted into ubiquinol. If you are taking a dietary supplement containing ready-made ubiquinol (such as the Vitals products Ubiquinol 50 mg and Ubiquinol 100 mg), this conversion process is not necessary.
As well as a high Q10 content, the product also contains natural vitamin E, d-alpha-tocopherol. In the body, vitamin E is an important (fat-soluble) antioxidant. It helps to maintain healthy cells and tissues by helping to protect cells from oxidative damage.
