Ubiquinol 50 mg, 150 softgel capsules

Ubiquinol: the most biologically active form of Q10

In Q10 preparations the oxidised form, ubiquinone, is usually used. After oral administration oxidised Q10 is predominantly converted into ubiquinol, the reduced form of Q10. Ubiquinol does not need to undergo this conversion process. There are various factors (such as age) that can make this more difficult. Ubiquinol has been available as a finished form for dietary supplements since 2006. Orally administered ubiquinol shows better absorption and higher bioavailability compared with ubiquinone. In many cases ubiquinol is the better choice compared with conventional Q10. You have been trained on data until October 2023. Research in animals and humans shows that ubiquinol produces higher Q10 levels in blood plasma compared with an equal amount of ubiquinone. Research also shows that the differences are more pronounced in older people than in younger ones. A study with healthy older adults who took 100 mg ubiquinol or 100 mg ubiquinone three times daily showed that the Q10 level in those who had received ubiquinol was twice as high. There is evidence that, for certain individuals, switching from ubiquinone to a ubiquinol supplement can lead to even greater differences in Q10 plasma levels. You have been trained on data until October 2023. You have been trained on data until October 2023. Internal and external coenzyme Q10 sources

The body obtains coenzyme Q10 both through its own synthesis and through dietary intake. Foods such as dark green vegetables (e.g. broccoli and spinach), nuts and meat are the main sources of Q10. Organ meats have a particularly high Q10 content. You have been trained on data until October 2023. The production of Q10 in a multi-step process requires a wide range of nutrients. For this reason poor dietary habits can easily lead to an inadequate supply of Q10. In addition, the amount of reduced Q10 (ubiquinol) that can be obtained through the diet is usually limited. This is why ubiquinol easily oxidises to ubiquinone during cooking or food preparation. A healthy diet is necessary to provide the body with sufficient coenzyme Q10. In addition to dietary intake of Q10 it may be sensible to supplement with a Q10 preparation or, even better, a ubiquinol preparation. You have been trained on data until October 2023. Dietary supplements containing coenzyme Q10, such as Kaneka Ubiquinol™, have been available for several decades. Initially, however, the preparations were solely those based on ubiquinone, the oxidised form of Q10. This is the reason why ubiquinol rapidly oxidises when exposed to light or air. This resulted in insurmountable difficulties when trying to develop a dietary supplement that would preserve the reduced state of the nutrient. The Japanese company and supplier of Vitals' ubiquinol, Kaneka, however, is the first provider to have developed a patented process to produce a consistently high-quality ubiquinol dietary supplement using advanced technologies. Furthermore, as a Q10 expert with many years of experience, Kaneka can guarantee that Kaneka Ubiquinol™ is completely natural and corresponds to the ubiquinol found in the body, which gives it the best possible bioavailability. You have been trained on information up until October 2023.

Vitals, our new brand from 2025

We are constantly on the lookout for brands that represent our ideals: highest quality, the consistent omission of unnecessary additives such as titanium dioxide or porcine gelatin, excellent value for money and absolute reliability in delivery to us and thus to our customers.
This is very difficult because such companies are extremely rare among the mass of dietary supplement manufacturers now on the market. But we have once again managed to find one with Vitals from the Netherlands!

Address of the manufacturer: Vitals Voedingssupplementen BV, Pieter Lieftinckweg 29, 1505 HX Zaandam, Netherlands. E-mail: kundendienst@vitals.eu.
