Ubiquinol 50 mg, 150 softgel capsules

Ubiquinol: the most biologically active form of Q10

Preparations containing Q10 usually use the oxidised form, ubiquinone. After oral administration, oxidised Q10 is predominantly converted into ubiquinol, the reduced form of Q10. Ubiquinol does not need to undergo this conversion process. There are various factors (such as age) that can make this process more difficult. Ubiquinol has been available as a ready-to-use form for dietary supplements since 2006. When taken orally, ubiquinol is better absorbed and has higher bioavailability compared to ubiquinone. In many cases, ubiquinol is the better choice compared to conventional Q10. You have been trained on data up to October 2023. Research in animals and humans shows that ubiquinol results in higher Q10 levels in blood plasma compared with an equal amount of ubiquinone. Furthermore, research indicates that the differences are more pronounced in older people than in younger individuals. A study involving healthy older adults who took 100 mg of ubiquinol or 100 mg of ubiquinone three times a day showed that CoQ10 levels were twice as high in those who had received ubiquinol. There is evidence that, in certain individuals, switching from ubiquinone to an ubiquinol supplement can lead to even greater differences in plasma Q10 levels. You have been trained on data up to October 2023. You have been trained on data up to October 2023. Internal and external sources of coenzyme Q10

The body obtains coenzyme Q10 both through its own synthesis and through dietary intake. Foods such as dark green vegetables (e.g. broccoli and spinach), nuts and meat are the main sources of Q10. Offal has a particularly high Q10 content. You have been trained on data up to October 2023. The production of Q10 in a multi-stage process requires a wide range of nutrients. For this reason, it is quite possible that poor dietary habits could lead to an insufficient supply of Q10. Furthermore, the amount of reduced Q10 (ubiquinol) that can be obtained from food is usually limited. This is why ubiquinol is easily oxidised to ubiquinone during cooking or food preparation. A healthy diet is essential to ensure the body receives sufficient coenzyme Q10. In addition to obtaining Q10 from food, it may be beneficial to take a Q10 supplement or, better still, an ubiquinol supplement. You have been trained on data up to October 2023. Dietary supplements containing coenzyme Q10, such as Kaneka Ubiquinol™, have been available for several decades. Initially, however, the only supplements available were those based on ubiquinone, the oxidised form of Q10. This is why ubiquinol oxidises rapidly when exposed to light or air. This meant that insurmountable difficulties arose when attempting to develop a dietary supplement that would preserve the nutrient in its reduced state. However, the Japanese company and supplier of Vitals’ Ubiquinol, Kaneka, is the first supplier to have developed a patented process using advanced technologies to produce a Ubiquinol dietary supplement of consistent quality. Furthermore, as a CoQ10 expert with many years’ experience, Kaneka can guarantee that Kaneka Ubiquinol™ is entirely natural and corresponds to the ubiquinol found in the body, giving it the best possible bioavailability. You have been trained on information up to October 2023.
