Detailed description of Frauenformel Pro

After the years in which the female body is governed by the hormone cycle, around the age of 45 a period begins in which the hormones settle into a new, more stable balance. Maca

Maca is a root that naturally grows high in the Peruvian Andes. People in Peru have long used maca for its beneficial effects on physical and mental wellbeing. Maca is described as an "adaptogen". Adaptogens are plants that help the body cope with various physical and mental stresses and thus maintain balance. Many do not know that there are different types of maca, which differ in their phytochemicals and effects. The different maca varieties are recognised by the colour of their root, which can be, for example, yellow, red or black. Yellow maca, which contains different glucosinolates, is often referred to as "women's maca", as opposed to "men's maca". The black cohosh extract in Frauenformel Pro 45+ always contains a consistent content of 2.5% triterpene glycosides, which are the active compounds from the plant's root.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, like maca, is a highly adaptable plant. You can look into how it works in more detail yourself. Frauenformel Pro contains a large amount of the well-known ashwagandha extract KSM-66® from the company Ixoreal. This special extract was developed after fourteen years of research. A particular production process is used for KSM-66® that does not employ harmful or environmentally damaging chemicals. This produces a versatile extract that preserves the natural properties of the original plant. Ixoreal also deliberately ensures that only ashwagandha plants that have not been treated with pesticides are used. In short: KSM-66® is not only of the highest quality, but also the most thoroughly researched ashwagandha extract worldwide (Bakhtiar Choudhary, Shetty A. and Deepak G. Langade 2015).

Maritime pine bark extract

Pycnogenol® is a patented and standardised extract from the maritime pine, a conifer species from the south-western coast of France. Coniferous trees are often also called pines. This extract contains many polyphenols, including OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) and acids such as ferulic acid, cinnamic acid and caffeic acid. Pycnogenol® has been used for a very long time, about 40 years, as a dietary supplement. It is today one of the most well-researched nutrients worldwide, with over 300 scientific publications. Pycnogenol® is a powerful antioxidant.

Ingredients

Maca (Lepidium peruvianum Chacon, root), filler (microcrystalline cellulose [cellulose gel]), ashwagandha extract (Withania somnifera, root, contains milk), anti-caking agents (silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids, hydroxypropylcellulose), black cohosh extract (Cimicifuga racemosa, rhizome), French maritime pine bark extract (Pinus pinaster, bark), coating agent (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), humectant (glycerol).

Recommended use

Take 1 tablet twice daily with water with a meal. If the result is insufficient, the dosage can be temporarily increased to 2 tablets twice daily.

Note

If you have hyperthyroidism or are taking thyroid medication, consult a doctor before using a supplement containing ashwagandha. Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place protected from light (do not refrigerate).
