Delicious strawberry rice pudding as breakfast or dessert for two

Juicy pieces of strawberry meet creamy-sweet rice pudding, creating a classic dessert that tastes just as good on the go as it does at home. The perfect reward after a long day in the outdoors or a delightful end to a cosy evening around the campfire.
Rice pudding is one of those timeless comfort foods that evokes memories of familiar moments of enjoyment. In our version, the velvety creaminess of the rice pudding is combined with the fruity sweetness of selected strawberries. The result is a harmonious dessert that brings warmth, energy and pleasure to any outdoor meal.
For our dishes we use only high-quality, fresh ingredients. After gentle preparation, the meals are freeze-dried so that flavour, texture and valuable nutrients are preserved as well as possible. At the same time, weight and pack size are reduced to a minimum – ideal for camping, trekking, backpacking and expeditions.
Preparation couldn't be simpler: add hot water, wait briefly and enjoy. In less than ten minutes a delicious meal is ready. Thanks to their balanced content of carbohydrates and protein, our meals provide the energy needed for active days and support rapid recovery after demanding tours.

Ingredients

(Amounts in grams used to produce 100 g of freeze-dried product) Round-grain rice (28%), cream (milk), milk, sugar, strawberries (3.5%).

Preparation

1. Open the pouch
2. Remove the oxygen absorber
3. Add 150 ml boiling water (line E).
4. Stir well.
5. Seal the pouch and wait 8–10 minutes.
6. Enjoy!

Notes from EnergyVital

As with all Wolftrack products, we have tested this one ourselves. Our tips:

• Feel free to add 200 instead of 150 ml of water — you'll get more, the rice will be softer and it's even easier to share: ideal dessert for 2 people!
• Be sure to observe the soaking time of 8–10 minutes — better 12. Otherwise the rice may not soften sufficiently.
  
• Also very good as a snack for 2. For one person it's a breakfast that will leave you very full and able to hike several kilometres without resupply!
• Can be easily jazzed up by chopping a few fresh strawberries on top and adding a splash of cream.
  
• Actually sweet enough — Wolftrack held back, preferring less sweetness that satisfies 80% of customers rather than being overly sweet. Our tip for the trekking trip for those with a sweet tooth or connoisseurs: at the last coffee-to-go stop at the petrol station pick up a sugar sachet and some condensed milk and stir them in later during preparation — that way you'll have even more enjoyment for the proper indulgence break!

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light (do not refrigerate).
