DMG (N,N-dimethylglycine or pangamic acid) is a vitamin-like amino acid and, together with gluconic acid, is essential for the formation of pangamic acid. In the past, both acids were classified as B vitamins due to their revitalising effect on the human body and were referred to as vitamin B15 – with pangamic acid being regarded as the more active component.
