Pure Ginkgo extract with a high concentration of active compounds
Ginkgo biloba resembles a deciduous tree, but is actually a conifer. Ginkgo can reach over 1,000 years of age and is extremely resilient. Although it is a conifer (conifers are also known for their high content of active substances), it resembles a deciduous tree.
For millennia, Ginkgo has been known in China and Japan as a temple tree and a plant of traditional medicine. Its valuable constituents include, among others, secondary plant metabolites found in the leaves of the tree. Ginkgo is also called a 'living fossil' because it is the only living representative of a group of seed plants that are otherwise completely extinct. Natural populations are known only from the Chongqing and Guizhou provinces in southwest China.
