L-carnitine is an amino acid that is found mainly in meat
In our body L-carnitine is found mainly in muscle tissue. There it is responsible for the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria. L-carnitine can be synthesised from the amino acids lysine and methionine. In stressful situations the body requires particularly large amounts of lysine and methionine. As a result, L-carnitine production suffers.
WOSCHA L-carnitine is characterised by excellent quality. Highly pure L-Carnipure®-tartrate is used. Manufactured by the Swiss company Lonza, it is the only product on the market that contains the L-isomer of carnitine. That is exactly how it occurs in nature! Natural carnitine can be better absorbed by the body and thus ensures optimal bioavailability.
