NAC plus N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine for sulphur supply and cell protection

The amino acid L-cysteine is a sulphur source for our body. It is important for the formation of many proteins (e.g. creatine and insulin) and can stabilise their structure by forming sulphur bridges.

As L-cysteine easily oxidises to cystine and loses almost 85% of its valuable sulphur groups during digestion, we use the more stable N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) in our food supplement. This supplies the body with almost six times more sulphur groups than L-cysteine. NAC also has a better protein-building effect than the free amino acid.
