Niacin (vitamin B3) with excellent tolerability
Niacin is also known as vitamin B3 and is present in most of our cells. The body can produce niacin itself from the amino acid tryptophan. However, excessive alcohol consumption, an unhealthy diet or burns/injuries can lead to a niacin deficiency. In these cases in particular, care should be taken to ensure an adequate supply.
WOSCHA Niacin Flush-Free is characterised by its excellent tolerability. By using the vitamin B3 form inositol hexanicotinate, niacin is released gradually, thereby preventing the so-called ‘flush’ effect. The flush effect occurs primarily with pure niacin, which has a vasodilatory effect and can therefore lead to skin redness and a sensation of heat . The added vitamin B6 not only increases bioavailability, but is also essential for the synthesis of tryptophan into niacin. The zinc it contains is also responsible for optimised bioavailability.
