S-adenosylmethionine, known as SAM-e, is scarcely found in our diet. However, our bodies can produce it themselves from L-methionine and energy-rich ATP (adenosine triphosphate). In combination with folate, S-adenosylmethionine influences many biological processes.

WOSCHA SAMe Plus is a high-quality product which, thanks to its active ingredients, works particularly well and quickly. For our SAMe product, we use only the branded raw material from Sabinsa Corporation to ensure excellent quality.

Products containing SAMe that can be bought online are often very cheap, but this usually comes at the expense of quality and how well the body can absorb the substance. Sometimes the product information is also incorrect. In contrast to the cheaper SAMe products, which usually contain sodium SAMe, S-adenosyl L-methionine disulphate tosylate (SAMe-DSTM) is absorbed much more effectively by the body – at around 98 per cent – whereas sodium SAMe is only . This means the active ingredient is utilised more effectively. Furthermore, SAMe-DSTM has a longer shelf life, is better tolerated and causes fewer side effects.
To ensure that SAMe can work optimally, folate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is included. This particularly high-quality folate is the already active form of folic acid. It is absorbed much more easily by the body and can be utilised immediately by the metabolism because the liver no longer needs to convert it. Consequently, folate acts more quickly and effectively.

Recommended intake

Take 1–2 EMBO-Caps® daily, half an hour before a meal, with plenty of liquid. Do not take in the evening or before going to bed.
