The silicon in our combination supplement comes from highly concentrated plant extracts and not from the shells of dead shellfish, which can trigger allergies. Field horsetail contains around 10 per cent minerals consisting of silicon-containing silicic acid and water-soluble silicates. It also contains 0.2 to 0.9 per cent flavonoids (primarily kaempferol and quercetin). In bamboo shoots, silicon is organically bound as silica.
Calcium, zinc and manganese are also very important for bone health and play a key role in energy metabolism. Here, they are present as bisglycinates, which the body can easily absorb and utilise directly.
