Vitamin B12 in its active form
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) was not discovered until 1948. It is a very complex, large molecule and is essential for the development of all the body’s cells. Nerve cells in particular suffer from a deficiency. The best-selling form of B12 is synthetic cyanocobalamin. Whilst this is effective, it is not optimal, as it must first be converted before it can be absorbed. In the process, the somewhat hazardous cyanide compound (better known as hydrocyanic acid) is released. Methylcobalamin is the form required by the body and is absorbed significantly better without the need for conversion.
WOSCHA Vitamin B12 is therefore already in its active form and can be absorbed optimally. Taking it as a lozenge is not only pleasant thanks to the orange flavour, but also further enhances absorption through the oral mucosa due to the prolonged contact time in the mouth.
