Our bones are so hard that we don't even realise that they are living tissue that is constantly being built up and broken down. But from our mid-30s onwards, the balance of bone-maintaining processes shifts. We lose more bone mass with every year of life, especially after the hormonal changes during the menopause.
As we get older, more and more attention should be paid to supplying the body with important bone nutrients.

A powerful combination for strong bones

Calcium and phosphorus give bones and teeth their strength. Bone Calcium contains hydroxyapatite, the natural building material of our bones. MCH-Cal, the hydroxyapatite from the New Zealand company Waitiki Enterprises, is obtained from cattle bones and is 100% free-range, without the use of antibiotics or growth promoters. Furthermore, there has never been a case of BSE in New Zealand.
Calcium and magnesium are present in an optimal 2:1 ratio. This improves their bioavailability and utilisation. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin K2 promote the incorporation of calcium into the bones. Vitamin D3 is much more effective than vitamin D2 and vitaMK7® is the most biologically effective form of vitamin K2, which also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Zinc, copper, manganese and boron round off the vitamin spectrum. They also play an important role in maintaining a strong and stable bone structure.
