What is the composition of guarana? 

Guarana is a South American fruit that thrives mainly in Brazil. The seeds of this fruit are roughly the same size as coffee beans, but contain two to four times as much caffeine. In fact, guarana is known for its high caffeine content – often referred to as guaranine – which is even higher than that of coffee beans. In addition to caffeine, guarana also contains small amounts of theophylline and theobromine, two compounds similar to caffeine but which have slightly different effects on the body.
