As the name suggests, Vitamin E-8 combines all 8 forms of vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols). It is unique in its composition. Tocopherols and tocotrienols

Vitamin E is an essential fat-soluble nutrient composed of a group of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta). The difference between tocotrienols and tocopherols is that the former have unsaturated side chains with three double bonds. The side chains of tocopherols are saturated and have no double bonds. All eight forms of vitamin E are present in food. However, supplements typically use only alpha-tocopherol. Evidence is growing that the other forms of vitamin E (such as gamma-tocopherol and tocotrienols) are also important for maintaining good health and show synergistic effects. That is why this unique vitamin E complex was developed based on the latest scientific findings.

Natural versus synthetic vitamin E

Synthetic variants of vitamin E (such as dl-alpha-tocopherol or all-rac-alpha-tocopherol) occasionally occur in supplements but are less effective compared with the natural forms. Therefore it is important to choose a supplement that contains only natural forms of vitamin E. These can be recognised by the prefix "d-" (as in d-alpha-tocopherol) or "RRR-" (as in RRR-alpha-tocopherol). Vitamin E-8 consists exclusively of natural vitamin E forms.

Effect

The main task of vitamin E in the body is to protect cells and tissues from oxidative damage. Today people are exposed to numerous harmful external influences, such as excessive UV radiation from sunlight and environmental pollution. The cellular immune system therefore needs some help. Vitamin E scavenges free radicals, contributing to the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues.

Vegan liquid capsule

A liquid capsule is a special form of the ordinary plant-based capsule. This capsule variant can also contain liquid ingredients because, after filling with the active ingredient, the two halves are sealed with a cellulose gel in a specially developed process. A conventional vegetarian capsule is made from two halves that are loosely pushed together. Therefore it can only contain powdered ingredients. In contact with liquids this capsule would become leaky. These liquid capsules offer the advantage that, compared with gelatine softgel capsules, they are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

It is recommended to use a vitamin E supplement together with a vitamin C supplement. Vitamin C ensures that vitamin E already used up by the body is converted back into its active form. This enhances the effect of vitamin E.
