Save:Strol is a natural, high-potency and specially bioactivated complex of fruits and plants that is particularly rich in **phytoalexins**. Thanks to this special activation process, these plant-based protective substances can be efficiently absorbed by the body and transported to all cells.

Defence substances derived from plant power, effective far beyond the plant itself

Phytoalexins (such as pterostilbene and other stilbenes) are natural defence substances that protect plants against viruses, bacteria, insects, moulds and UV radiation. These substances are only produced by plants in significant quantities when they are actually needed, for example in the event of environmental stress or pathogen attack.
In modern agriculture, many types of fruit, vegetables and other crops are treated with fungicides and other plant protection products . This reduces the plants’ natural need to produce their own defence compounds, which can lead to lower levels of phytoalexins, particularly pterostilbenes.

British researchers discovered that, under certain circumstances, certain damaged cells in the human body produce the enzyme CYP1B1 under certain circumstances. This enzyme reacts with phytoalexins and produces a metabolite that can re-activate the natural process of apoptosis,or programmed cell death, in the mutated cells. In this way, damaged cells are specifically broken down once they have lost their function.
Nature seems to have designed this mechanism in a remarkable way: for centuries, people have been consuming phytoalexins through fruit, vegetables and other plant-based foods – substances that play a key role in maintaining cell health. As modern farming methods and food processing can reduce the natural levels of phytoalexins, a targeted intake via the diet or through a suitable dietary supplement may be advisable.
