Natural, bioactive plant complex with a high content of phytoalexins

Save:Strol is a natural, highly dosed and specially bioactivated complex of fruits and plants that is particularly rich in **phytoalexins**. Due to the special activation these plant protective compounds can be efficiently absorbed by the body and transported into all cells.

Defensive compounds from plant power, effective far beyond the plant

Phytoalexins (such as pterostilbene and other stilbenes) are natural defence substances that protect plants from viruses, bacteria, insects, mould fungi and UV radiation. These substances are produced by plants in larger quantities only when they are actually needed, for example in response to environmental stress or pathogens.
In modern agriculture many fruit and vegetable types are treated with fungicides and other plant protection products. This reduces the plants' natural need to produce their own defensive compounds, which can lead to a lower content of phytoalexins, particularly pterostilbene, 

British researchers discovered that certain damaged cells in the human body can, under certain circumstances, produce the enzyme CYP1B1. This enzyme reacts with phytoalexins and generates a metabolic product (metabolite) that can re‑activate the natural process of apoptosis, programmed cell death, in the mutated cells. In this way damaged cells are selectively broken down after they have lost their function.
Nature appears to have provided for this mechanism in a remarkable way: for centuries people have taken up phytoalexins through fruits, vegetables and other plant foods — substances that make a substantial contribution to maintaining healthy cells. As modern cultivation methods and food processing can reduce the natural levels of phytoalexins, targeted supply through the diet or via an appropriate food supplement can be sensible.
