Psyllium husk powder and 8 proven herbs for intestinal cleansing
All ingredients of Candi Clear have a cleansing and normalising effect on the gastrointestinal system:
- For the gut flora: lapacho bark and olive leaves
- Psyllium husks as a “cleaning agent” for the intestine
- For digestion: cat’s claw, black cumin, dandelion and oregano
- Against unfavourable influences: black walnut, garlic and black cumin
- For healthy intestinal mucosa: biotin
Candi Clear is particularly well suited as a support due to its excellent quality.
Most of the traditionally administered herbs are contained as highly concentrated plant extracts. This makes them considerably more effective than a powder.
Lapacho bark contains, in addition to an unusually high amount of minerals and trace elements, numerous naphthoquinones.
Dandelion stimulates gastric juice secretion and bile flow with its bitter compounds. It promotes fat metabolism and acts as an appetite stimulant.
Psyllium husks are insoluble fibre that swell considerably after consumption. In addition to their cleansing effect, they ensure good digestion in the gastrointestinal tract because they promote the motility of the intestine (peristalsis) and thus the onward transport of intestinal contents.
Garlic contains a lot of allicin, which gives the plant its typical sharp smell and taste. Allicin can combat microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and protozoa (a type of parasite) in the body.
Oregano, the popular “pizza herb”, contains tannins, bitter substances and essential oils that are helpful for good digestion. They stimulate the production of digestive juices and counteract flatulence.
Black cumin promotes digestion through its bitter compound nigellin and the saponin melanthin.
Black walnut contains active substances that are effective against parasites, but also in fungal infestations, e.g. by Candida.
Cat’s claw: research and clinical studies have shown that this vine-like plant has antioxidant properties.
Olive leaves contain many useful secondary plant compounds (including flavonoids, polyphenols, bitter substances and the main active ingredient oleuropein).
Biotin supports the renewal of cells in the intestinal mucosa. This tissue is particularly dependent on an adequate supply of biotin because it is completely renewed every two to three days. In certain illnesses and when taking medications such as antibiotics, the need for biotin can increase.
After intestinal cleansing with Candi Clear we recommend taking one of our proven lactic acid bacteria. The microorganisms accelerate the rebuilding of the gut flora after intestinal restoration and help it to regenerate more quickly. GR15-Pure, for example, contains one billion lactic acid bacteria per gram from 15 different strains.
Miracle organ: the gut – what the intestine does for our health
For decades the importance of the gut for our health was completely underestimated in Western medicine. But in naturopathy around the world, the gut and maintaining its health have a high priority. The motto being: “If the gut is healthy, the person is healthy.”
It is now undisputed that a healthy, functioning gut contributes decisively to our health and well-being. Therefore we should nurture and care for it wherever we can. This is best achieved with regular intestinal cleansing.
It supports normally functioning digestion and generally contributes to improved well‑being. This is also related to the fact that the gut is not only good for digestion. It has three other very important functions:
Water recycling
The human body consists of only 70–80 per cent water. To meet the body's high water needs, water is withdrawn from the indigestible chyme in the large intestine. After all, as little of this precious liquid as possible should be lost. With the recommended daily fluid intake of 1.5–2 litres, the risk of constipation due to overly heavy stools is therefore reduced.
Our second brain
Around the gut (after the brain) is the second largest collection of nerve cells in the human body, the so‑called “gut brain”. This could explain the close connection between physical well‑being and gut health. After all, the gut and our digestion influence the functioning of all other organs and body systems.
Central control point of the immune system
A large part of our immune system in the form of lymphatic tissue is located in our gut. It depends on a normal, diverse gut flora to be able to perform well and to effectively combat pathogens.
For these reasons as well, regular intestinal cleansing and restoration is very sensible.

High-quality formulations from the Netherlands
The products of podo medi are largely influenced by the naturopathic experience of its co-founder Wolfgang P. Schallmey. However, he has been retired since 2020, which is why the brand "Woscha" is becoming "natura felix". The tried-and-tested formulations will largely remain unchanged. What is changing significantly, besides the logo, is the packaging of many products. Thus there is an increasing switch from plastic to more environmentally friendly cardboard containers.
