Psyllium husk powder and 8 tried-and-tested herbs for bowel cleansing
All the ingredients in Candi Clear have a cleansing and normalising effect on the gastrointestinal system:
- For the gut flora: lapacho bark and olive leaves
- Psyllium husks as a ‘cleaning agent’ for the gut
- For digestion: cat’s claw, black cumin, dandelion and oregano
- Against adverse influences: black walnut, garlic and black cumin
- For healthy intestinal mucosa: biotin
Candi Clear is particularly well suited as a supplement thanks to its
outstanding quality.
Most of the traditionally used herbs are included as
highly concentrated plant extracts. This makes them
significantly more effective than a powder.
Lapacho bark contains, in addition to an unusually high amount of
minerals and trace elements, numerous naphthoquinones.
Dandelion, with its bitter compounds, stimulates
gastric juice secretion and bile flow. It promotes
fat metabolism and stimulates the appetite.
Psyllium husks are insoluble dietary fibres
which swell considerably after consumption. In addition to their cleansing
effect, they ensure good digestion of food in the
gastrointestinal tract, as they promote intestinal motility
(peristalsis) and thus the onward transport of intestinal contents
.
Garlic contains a lot of allicin, which gives the plant
its characteristic pungent smell and taste. Allicin can
combat microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and protozoa (a
type of parasite) in the body.
Oregano, the popular ‘pizza herb’, contains
tannins, bitter compounds and essential oils, which aid
digestion. They stimulate the production of
digestive juices and help to relieve flatulence.
Black cumin aids digestion thanks to its bitter compound
nigellin and the saponin melanthin.
Black walnut contains active ingredients that are effective against
parasites, as well as fungal infections, such as those caused by Candida
.
Cat’s Claw: Research and clinical studies
have shown that this vine-like plant has antioxidant
properties.
Olive leaves contain many beneficial
secondary plant compounds (including flavonoids, polyphenols,
bitter compounds and the main active ingredient, oleuropein).
Biotin supports cell renewal in the
intestinal mucosa. This tissue is particularly dependent on an adequate supply
of biotin because it is completely renewed every two to three days. In certain medical conditions and when
taking medicines such as antibiotics, the need for
biotin may increase.
Following a bowel cleanse with Candi Clear, we recommend
taking one of our tried-and-tested lactic acid bacteria supplements. The
microorganisms accelerate the rebuilding of the gut flora after a
bowel cleanse and help it to regenerate more quickly. GR15-Pure, for example, contains one billion
lactic acid bacteria per gram from 15 different strains.
The miracle of the gut – everything the gut does for our health
For decades, Western medicine completely underestimated the importance of the
gut for our health. Yet in
naturopathy around the world, the gut and
maintaining its health are given high priority. True to the motto: “If the
gut is healthy, the person is healthy.”
It is now undisputed that a healthy,
properly functioning gut makes a crucial contribution to our health and
our well-being. That is why we should cherish and
nurture it wherever we can. The best way to do this is through
regular gut cleansing.
It supports normal digestive function and contributes generally to a greater sense of well-being. This is also linked to the fact that the gut is not just good for digestion. It has three further, very important functions:
Water recycling
The human body consists of 70–80 per cent water. To meet the body’s high
water requirements, water is extracted from the undigested
food mass in the large intestine. After all,
as little of this precious liquid as possible should be lost. With the
recommended daily fluid intake of 1.5–2 litres,
the risk of constipation caused by excessively heavy stools is therefore reduced.
Our second brain
Surrounding the gut is (after the brain) the second-largest
cluster of nerve cells in the human body, the so-called
‘gut brain’. This could explain the close link between
physical well-being and gut health. After all, the gut
and our digestion influence the
functioning of all other organs and bodily systems.
A key hub of the immune system
A large part of our immune system is located in our gut
in the form of lymphatic tissue. It relies on a normal,
diverse gut flora to function effectively and
to combat pathogens efficiently.
For these reasons too, regular bowel cleansing and gut restoration are highly beneficial.

High-quality formulations from the Netherlands
Podo medi's products are significantly influenced by the naturopathic experience of its co-founder Wolfgang P. Schallmey. However, he has been retired since 2020, which is why the "Woscha" brand has become the "natura felix" brand. The tried-and-tested recipes will remain largely the same. In addition to the logo, the packaging of many products will change significantly. The company is increasingly switching from plastic to more environmentally friendly cardboard cans.
